During the sustainable partnership between Beiersdorf Belgium and Netherlands, different kinds of societal innovations were developed. The Nivea Awards is a great example of how CSR can build new connections with consumers. With the pay-off ‘beauty is… to be inspiring’, Nivea Belgium initiated several awards for women dedicated to make the world a better place. There were four categories: family, society, culture and the woman of the hearts – the public’s favorite. A national campaign invited all Belgians to nominate women who are truly inspiring because of their inner beauty. The campaign turned out to be a great success; more
than one hundred thousand people responded and almost five thousand women were put forward. The ceremony for the award winners (who won € 3.000 each) was geared up to perfection to do these amazing women justice. Nivea accomplished its goal to set up a new discourse with women to give beauty and beauty care new meaning.
