Spirits company Bacardi is always looking for ways to differentiate itself from its competitors. Better Future was approached to guide a process of leadership and cultural transformation within the company.
Bacardi has sent two groups of eight executives each from top and middle management to Western Africa for a team experience. The first group worked together with a juice factory, the second group with a community lodge. While in Africa, the groups met every evening with the Better Future coaches to reflect on team and personal learning objectives. This was the time
of complete openness, trust and self-analysis.
In cooperation with the Rotterdam School of Management special workshops were facilitated after the African experiences, to help participants sustain their experiential knowledge into fundamental change. Based on this an organisational transformation process was implemented. Through a shift in leadership styles, new values, changes in the work environment, better communication Bacardi has become a more entrepreneurial and inspiring company.
Mark de Witte, General Manager Bacardi UK & Ireland: ‘It was the best program I’ve ever participated in with sustainable results for our people, our organisation and the African communities’.
